Ganesh chaturthi puja items list :

I want to make a post on simple Ganesh chaturthi puja items list which are required to do Ganesh chaturthi puja at Home .

The first puja to start any program is start with worship of the lord Ganesh. All work is victorious if He is blessed. The 'Rig Veda' says that Sakshathu Vidhata also worshiped Ganapati before the beginning of creation. The festival of 'Vinayaka Chaviti' is celebrated on the day of 'Bhadrapada Shuddha Chaviti', the birthday of such a Ganesha. 

lets me tell you what is items required to do Ganesh puja. Bring all puja items from market  the day before of Ganesh chaturthi.

On vinayaka Chaviti should get up early in the morning and clean the house. Then wash the head and put on laundry. Mamidas leaf  should tie arches and decorate the house. 

Put pasupu  on a pita/wppden plank  and place it on the northeast or north side of the house. Put rice in a pan and put betel leaves(Thamala pakulu) on them. The puja should be started by lighting incense sticks and chanting with  mantras  after Diparadhana.

During Ganesh puja to make neivedyam of pappu undrallu payasam and modaakam which are very favorite to lord Ganesh .

I will mentioned both pappu undrallu payasam and modaakam in neivedyam required list items below.

Pappu undraralu payasam : Modakam recipe : 

Rice flour, mong dal, water, jaggery, cardamom powder, coconut thurum, ghee nutmeg powder, raisins, cashew nuts, puppy seeds.

 

On  Ganesh Chaturthi evening, make wheat flour appam and do the neivedyam.The next day morning, you can keep  simply fruits for neivedyam to god. On that day afternoon, keep toor dal & rice with cow ghee and put neivedyam. Continue different types of  neivedyam till Ganesha  idol stays in your house.

 

Ganesha Nimarjana :

The next day or third day of Ganesh puja after in  home,take the Ganesha idol along with  used flowers & vastram, some puffed rice, jaggery and fried gram dal  and put it in water like pond or river . Let the Ganesh idol dissolve into water and take away from all the undesirable people
